KPMG excited about working with Blendology

Technology Start-up Showcase at TVC 2012 At the recent TVC 2012  Blendology won the coveted “Most Promising Start Up” prize for 2012. Blendology beat out competition from 17 entrants to scoop the prize after impressing a panel of five global investors and technology specialists. The panel of five included Clennell Collingwood, Mark Horne, Hugh Parnell, Gervais Williams as well as Charles Le Strange Meakin from KPMG. When asked about Blendology Meakin, said “I am hugely excited about working with Blendology at the beginning of what will hopefully be a successful and wealth and job creating business.” Blendology’s prize award included £10,000 worth of consultancy from KPMG, who will now work with Blendology for the next year, providing access to professional advice for technology start-ups. Blendology wins coveted Start Up Hub finalist spot

Blendology has been selected as one of  twelve finalists, out of 200 companies entered, for the Start Up Hub at this year’s Conservative Party Conference, 7th – 10th October 2012 in Birmingham. The judging process involved careful scrutiny of the entries by representatives from the supporting companies including Fujitsu and Inmarsat. As one of the winners we are given the opportunity to market SoJoLife and ProJoGroup to the almost 13,500 delegates, national press, company representatives and senior Conservative politicians. Blendology selected as Ogilvy Digital Labs partner

Blendology has been invited to showcase SoJoLife and ProJoGroup at the biannual Ogilvy Digital Labs event in London on the 26th and 27th October 2012. Ogilvy Digital Lab events, attended by 1600 people, are held to introduce clients and Ogilvy employees to new technology to inspire, enhance and deliver great creative solutions to business and marketing problems. The Ogilvy Digital Lab is a hub for partnerships, research, education and knowledge sharing around new media and innovative communications. In addition to participating at the event Ogilvy has also asked Blendology to install a working demo in their permanent lab. Ogilvy & Mather is one of the largest marketing communications agencies in the world. It comprises international advertising, marketing and public relations companies. It operates 450 offices in 120 countries with approximately 18,000 employees.

The SOJO Girls take SXSW by storm

The ladies in pink hit SXSW in Austin, to help launch Blendology’s new interactive events solution “SoJoLife”. Four uni friends from England (Abbie, Victoria, Chloe and I) arrived in Austin to help Blendology promote and launch SoJoLife. Dressed head to toe in pink, we quickly became known as “the girl’s in pink” and very recognisable at the event.

Blendology is in full SXSW planning mode. I’ve organised many events and exhibitions during my 15 or so years in the marketing industry but I am new to SXSW which seems well….different, whilst the event is more than 6 months away, the sense of excitement feels real and very close. One of the first things on my to-do-list is getting picked for a Panel Picker session and it seems this will be no mean feat.
